MANUEL-TURIZO

Manuel Turizo (full name Manuel Turizo Zapata) is an urbano and reggaeton singer songwriter and multi-instrumentalist from Colombia whose trademark is his smooth buttery tenor singing voice. The Latin Pop mainstream has been affected by his international reach. His 2016 hit Una Lady Como Tu was winner of the Colombian Kids Choice Award for the most popular Song in 2017. His debut album was a long-player ADN with the Sony-owned company based in Medellin, La Industria Inc. The album climbed to number 8 in the Top Latin Albums Chart. Following that year, he teamed up with Ozuna for the creation of Vaina Loca which reached number five on the chart of Top Latin Albums. Mala Influencia was his collaboration with Noriel in 2020. The following year, Dopamina became his second album. Later in 2021 he performed a duet on TINI's smash streaming track Maldita Foto. The hit single La Bachata from 2000 was published in 2023. Turizo was a member of a musical family, his older brother and mother are each musicians. According to Turizo, music was a fundamental part of his life. When he was a kid, he began learning to play the saxophone and as well as piano and ukulele. Although he initially wanted to be veterinarian, Julian convinced him that learning with a Cuban singer would alter the direction of his career.
