Ana Gonzales bio
Ana Gonzalez de Jorgenson, a musician's daughter born in Mexico was born to a music-loving family. Growing up she was influenced by classical music, boleros and the classic romantic, ranchero, and romance ballads. Ana is a lover of the operas and tangos and any dramatic performance. Her mother teaches her how to sing, but she began more intensive vocal training with Flavio Belcerra, who was 16 at the time when the singer was famous as a Mexican opera singer and tenor. The musical training continued with the School of Music of the University of Guadalajara, and afterwards to the School of Sacred Music in Toluca, Mexico. In Guadalajara and Mexico City, she was part of a variety of opera choruses and chamber ensembles. After moving from Mexico to the United States at the age of 2000, she sang with the Fort Lauderdale Symphony Chorus. She is currently a member of Ensemble XXI of Redlands and is a frequent solo performer with the traditional Latin American music at private occasions. Her passion for singing, music and the arts keep her engaged in local projects for both an artist as well as a instructor. Ana is also a former member of the Community Chorus of Redlands. The Inland Master Chorale. and the Performance Loft. Ana appreciates being able to share her love and passion of the traditional Latin American songs with others as she hopes to instill a sense of to, particularly in the younger age group in order to keep the music alive and alive.Viva Mexico!
